Overview
Are your students ready for a three-day educational adventure in the Lone Star State? Your group will visit the Bullock Texas State History Museum and learn more about state government on a guided tour of the Texas State Capitol. You and your students will also learn about the cultural legacies that comprise Texas at the Institute of Texan Cultures, discover the enormity of the Natural Bridge Caverns, and immerse yourselves in the iconic history of the famous Alamo.

Travel to Austin, TX

Bullock Texas State History Museum visit
Located in downtown Austin, the Bullock Texas State History Museum tells the “Story of Texas” with three floors of interactive exhibits, special effects shows in the Texas Spirit Theater, and Austin's premier IMAX Theatre.
Texas State Capitol - Guided Tour
Guided tours of the Texas Capitol take visitors through key areas of the building, providing insights into Texas history and the Texas Legislature.

Travel to San Antonio, TX
Natural Bridge Caverns visit
The largest cavern in the state, the this tour takes you through huge rooms, spectacular formations, and state-of-the-art lighting throughout.

Alamo visit
A founding event in the history of Texas, The Battle of the Alamo symbolizes the strong spirit of this state's citizens, where a small band of Texan settlers held off a counterattack led by Mexican President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. More than 150 Texans, and more than 400 Mexicans were killed or wounded in this hard-fought, hand-to-hand battle. After visiting this historic site, you're sure to always keep the phrase popularized by this battle in mind: Remember the Alamo.

Explore this iconic area of San Antonio aboard a colorful barge while learning of San Antonio’s rich history, architecture and culture.

Tower of the Americas observation deck visit
The 750-foot-tall Tower of the Americas provides guests the most spectacular view of the Alamo City, take in the scenery from the Observation Deck.

Mission San José visit
The largest mission site of all five missions along the San Antonio River, at the “Queen of the Missions” students will get a glimpse at what the mission sites would have looked like during the mission period. Explore native family quarters, soldier's quarters, the stone arches of what remains of the historic convento, the granary and grist mill.

Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
