Overview
Are your students ready for a three-day educational adventure in the Lone Star State? Your group will visit the Bullock Texas State History Museum and learn more about state government on a guided tour of the Texas State Capitol. You and your students will also learn about the cultural legacies that comprise Texas at the Institute of Texan Cultures, discover the enormity of the Natural Bridge Caverns, and immerse yourselves in the iconic history of the famous Alamo.

Bullock Texas State History Museum visit
Understand the stories of discovery, settlement uprising, war, and the people that built the lone star identity of this state. Gain insights into Texas's evolution from 12,000 year old artifacts to the 1901 oil gushers to its role as a hub for spaceflight.
Texas State Capitol - Guided Tour
Guided tours of the Texas Capitol take visitors through key areas of the building, providing insights into Texas history and the Texas Legislature.

Travel to San Antonio, TX
Natural Bridge Caverns visit
Immerse into a misty, otherworldly setting deep below ground in this massive ancient limestone cavern, the largest in the state. Learn how rock, water, and time create magical and rare cave formations, such as stalactites, stalagmites, and the Emerald Lake.

Alamo visit
Journey to the 19th-century and to the heart of the fight for Texas independence at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hear living historians recount life for the early Native American communities, Spanish friars, and legends such as Davy Crockett as they fought in the Battle of the Alamo.
River Walk boat cruise
Gain a new perspective of San Antonio's rich, multi-cultural history and iconic architecture aboard this colorful barge. Learn about the historical richness of this city from its founding to its place in pop culture.
Dinner
Tower of the Americas Observation Deck visit
Soar 750 feet into the sky for the most spectacular view of Alamo City from this observation deck, built for the 1968 World's Fair. Peer through the high-powered binoculars and spot Alamo City landmarks and get a taste of Texas culture through the "Skies Over Texas" film in the 4D theater.

Mission San José visit
Tour the largest and most restored site, called the "Queen of the Missions," along the San Antonio River and imagine what life was like for the missionaries and indigenous people who lived here. From living quarters to the granary and gristmill, get insight into how this community thrived.

At program sign-up you can opt to pay in full, or break up the cost of your trip with the Advantage Payment Plan. This plan allows you to pay a small initial deposit, then have your remaining payments spread out into affordable monthly amounts.

Fundraising Tools
Our easy-to-use tools put students in the driver's seat of their own fundraising efforts. Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
