Overview
Give your soccer team the opportunity of a lifetime with a trip to Sweden to compete in the world’s largest youth soccer tournament, the Gothia Cup. Players will enhance their skills by competing against teams from around the world. They’ll meet players from opposing teams, watch other Gothia Cup matches, and take part in contests and activities. The trip also includes touring Gothenburg, the Swedish coastal city where the tournament is held, and visiting Copenhagen, the colorful capital of Denmark, where the journey begins and ends.

Welcome meeting and orientation
Copenhagen city walk
Explore Copenhagen on a guided city walk through its historic and cultural landmarks. Visit the Church of Our Lady, home to Thorvaldsen’s famous sculptures of Christ and the apostles, and climb the Round Tower for panoramic views of the city. Stroll down Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets, lined with shops and cafés, and end at City Hall Square, the vibrant heart of Copenhagen’s civic life.

Travel to Gothenburg

Gothia Cup First Round Matches
Take part in your team’s first-round match at the Gothia Heden Center, the heart of the Gothia Cup. This is where you’ll find the Central Information building, the tournament’s headquarters for the week. The center also features an event and exhibition area with partner-led activities, contests, souvenirs, food courts, and the popular “Taste the World” experience.

Gothia Cup Opening Ceremonies
In the evening, you’ll attend the Gothia Cup Opening Ceremony, the week’s main event. This two-hour show features music, dancing, fireworks, and a presenation of all participating nations, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity. With 50,000 people filling Ullevi Stadium, it’s an unforgettable experience.

Gothia Cup Second Round Matches
Take part in your team’s second-round match. In your free time, enjoy the Heden Center, explore Gothenburg, or watch other Gothia Cup games.

Gothia Cup Finals
The Gothia Cup Finals conclude with teams from various age and gender bracket competing for the titles. If your team won its playoff matches the previous day, you’ll play in the Finals.

Fundraising Tools
Our easy-to-use tools put students in the driver's seat of their own fundraising efforts. Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
