Your class will explore the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum to trace the evolution of America’s pastime, set out on a supernatural tour of downtown Louisville on a thrilling historic ghost tour, and discover the impressive collection of the Speed Art Museum, Kentucky’s oldest and largest art museum. Your students will also learn about the continued legacy of Muhammad Ali, visit the Louisville Zoo, and explore Churchill Downs.

Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum visit
Behold the transformation of plain wood into the iconic baseball bats that have co-starred in some of the greatest baseball players' careers. Wrap your hands around one of Babe Ruth's bats and get an in-depth look at the entire bat-making process.
Muhammad Ali Center visit
Follow the life of this legendary athlete, humanitarian, and voice of courage from his childhood to three world heavyweight boxing titles to global icon. Explore artifacts and interactive displays focused on his core principals—confidence, conviction, dedication, giving, respect, and spirituality.
Dinner
Ghost Tour
Visit the Victorian-era side of Louisville where ghostly spirits and supernatural experiences take center stage. Hear historical tales and visit the city's most haunted landmarks on this spooky walking tour.
Day 2
Breakfast and hotel check-out
Churchill Downs & Kentucky Derby Museum
Sit in the grandstands and view the final stretch of the infamous dirt track where every Derby winner has raced, from Aristides to Secretariat. Explore the namesake museum and learn about 152 years of horse racing history through stories of the early days and over 20,000 artifacts.
Speed Art Museum visit
Experience the power of art to spark curiosity, creativity, and transformation at Kentucky's oldest and largest museum, whose collection spans 6,000 years. Engage in hands-on activities that help foster an appreciation of art, strengthen observational skills, and grow visual literacy.
Lunch
Louisville Zoo visit
Explore wildlife conservation at this 13-acre zoo committed to saving endangered species. Observe up close the differences between unique species, such as the African and Asian elephants, and visit your favorite animals, from polar and grizzly bears to rhinos and penguins.

At program sign-up you can opt to pay in full, or break up the cost of your trip with the Advantage Payment Plan. This plan allows you to pay a small initial deposit, then have your remaining payments spread out into affordable monthly amounts.

Our easy-to-use tools put students in the driver's seat of their own fundraising efforts. Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
