Overview
Our program brings you the best of both worlds: the consistency you rely on and the flexibility your group needs.
Discover the important historic landmarks of London, Paris, Provence, Barcelona, and Madrid. Your students will explore the impressive collections of the National Gallery and the Louvre, enjoy a picturesque cruise down the Seine, and travel through time while they explore the Arènes de Nîmes and Les Baux-de-Provence. Your class will also discover the Roman city of Carcassonne, embark on a challenging scavenger hunt through Las Ramblas, and explore Madrid’s Royal Palace.
Itinerary
Day 2
Arrive in London
Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Classic fish & chips dinner
Nothing says local flavor quite like fish and chips. Join your Tour Director at a traditional pub to enjoy this classic dish, usually served with a side of malt vinegar. From bustling cities to seaside towns, “chippies” remain a favorite stop for locals and visitors alike.
Day 3
London guided sightseeing tour
Join a licensed local guide for an in-depth tour of London. See Buckingham Palace, where you may catch the Changing of the Guard, and stroll through Hyde Park, home to the famous Speakers’ Corner. View Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, then step inside Westminster Abbey, the coronation site of English monarchs. Continue to St. Paul’s Cathedral, Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, and admire the iconic Tower Bridge spanning the Thames.
Day 4
Eurostar Chunnel crossing to Paris
You're so close, why not continue to Paris? Take the Eurostar under the English Channel and, faster than you can say anything in French, you will zip through the tunnel and arrive in Paris.
Louvre Museum visit
The world’s largest art museum, the Louvre, is housed in a former medieval fortress and entered through I.M. Pei’s striking glass pyramid. Inside, discover masterpieces like the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Winged Victory, along with vast collections of Egyptian antiquities, Greek ceramics, and works spanning seven departments. Please note: The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays.
Day 6
Travel to Avignon on the TGV
Ride the TGV, Europe’s famed high-speed train, as you travel to Avignon.
Day 8
Travel to Barcelona via Carcassonne
Medieval Carcasonne looks like a fairytale city from the past -- its turreted citadel, crenelated city walls, and Gothic arched city gates bring you back to the 13th century. Extensive restorations in the 1800s brought the formerly crumbling city back to life, and its hilltop perch provides views over the surrounding green plains and hills all the way to the Pyrenees.
Day 9
Barcelona guided sightseeing tour
Discover Barcelona with a licensed guide as you explore its mix of Gothic charm and modernist brilliance. Visit Plaza de España, then marvel at Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia, the soaring church that defines the city’s skyline. Wander through Park Güell with its colorful mosaics and sweeping views, and journey to Montjuïc Hill, home to historic fortresses and the 1992 Olympic grounds.
Day 10
AVE train to Madrid
Optional Extension
Add 5 Days in Andalusia
Travel first to Seville via Córdoba, where you’ll tour the stunning Mezquita, one of the world’s greatest examples of Moorish architecture. In Seville, a guided sightseeing tour takes you to Plaza de España, the Old Jewish Quarter, Casa de Pilatos, and the vast Gothic cathedral, where you’ll ascend the Giralda Tower and see the tomb of Columbus. Continue to the Costa del Sol by way of Granada for a guided visit of the Alhambra, including its gardens, Summer Palace, Medina, Royal Arab Baths, and Alcazaba fortress. Experience a Taste of Andalusia with an olive oil grove visit, a walk through Alfarnatejo’s Old Town, a stop at the House Museum, and lunch with a local host family. Conclude your extension in Madrid after traveling there by Talgo train.
