Overview
Immerse your players in the rich soccer culture of Portugal—the oldest country in Europe. They’ll learn from professionals in exclusive coaching clinics, compete against local teams, attend a professional soccer match, and get a private tour of Estádio da Luz. They’ll explore the cobblestone streets of Lisbon’s Avenida da Liberdade, wander through the maze-like Alfama district, and stand in awe of the Ponte Vasco da Gama, Europe’s second-longest bridge. Plus, they’ll visit Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated by poets and artists, and the favorite summer retreat of Portugal's kings.

Castelo de São Jorge visit
Explore Castelo de São Jorge, the historic heart of Lisbon and the city's birthplace. Once home to the Phoenicians and later various conquerors, this iconic castle reveals Lisbon's rich past.
Friendly soccer match
Play an international friendly match against a local club or academy team. The team will meet and compete against athletes of similar ages and skill levels, and have the opportunity to make friends for life.

Estádio da Luz guided visit
Take a guided tour of Estádio da Luz, home to Benfica. This iconic stadium reflects the greatness of its host club and stands as the largest and most modern sports venue in Portugal. Since its inauguration, it has hosted over 11 million spectators and countless matches and events.

Play an international friendly match against a local club or academy team. The team will meet and compete against athletes of similar ages and skill levels, and have the opportunity to make friends for life.

Professional coaching clinic
Participate in this special clinic with a guest coach, player, or instructor. The clinic is designed exclusively for your team and to enhance your skills in the areas identified by your coaching staff.

Walking tour of Belem
Take a Walking tour of Belem to explore Portugal’s former glory, expressed in the areas imposing and exuberant buildings. During our walk we will view the Praca do Imperio, the Archeological Museum, and the Palacio de Belem.

Free time at the beach
Spend some time relaxing on one of Lisbon's magnificent beaches. Enjoy the sand, sun and watch the surfers as you relax for the day. The beaches have numerous activities available for everyone to enjoy.

Fundraising Tools
Our easy-to-use tools put students in the driver's seat of their own fundraising efforts. Students can send e-cards, share links on social media, and even send out printed letters through WorldStrides' Gift of Education program. In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
