Overview
Take your ensemble on a thrilling performance tour through the land of fire and ice. Your performers will explore the best of Iceland’s geological marvels, including visits to the Strokkur hot springs, Blue Lagoon, and Gulfoss waterfall. Students will also enjoy discovering the Skogar Folk Museum and Krysuvik Geothermal Field between exciting musical performances.

Overnight flight to Iceland (Reykjavik)

Arrive in Reykjavik
Meet your Tour Director
Your 24-hour Tour Director will meet you at the airport and remain with your group until your final airport departure.
Reykjavik Tour Director-led sightseeing tour
Explore Reykjavik, Iceland’s vibrant capital and the nation’s first permanent settlement. Stroll along Laugavegur Street, lined with colorful boutiques and cozy cafés. Visit Bessastaðir, the official residence of Iceland’s president, and see Höfði House, where Reagan and Gorbachev met for their historic 1986 summit. Climb the 73-meter tower of Hallgrímskirkja Church, dedicated to poet Hallgrímur Pétursson, for panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains, and hear the grand 25-ton pipe organ fill the hall with sound.
Day 3
Viking World visit
The Viking World, a museum dedicated to the Viking Age, located conveniently to the airport. View the impressive Icelander (Íslendingur) Viking Ship. Breakfast is included in the cost of admission.
The Icelandic Museum of Rock 'n' Roll visit
Explore the Icelandic Museum of Rock 'n' Roll, and learn about the story behind Iceland's most successful musicians, with exhibits on the Sugarcubes, Björl. Sigur Rós, and Of Monsters and Men. Listen to samples and test your own skills on an electric drum kit, guitar, and bass.
Harpa Reykjavik Hall visit
Tour the award-winning Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre. Harpa is one of Reykjavik's greatest and most distinguished landmarks. It is a cultural and social center in the heart of the city, and features stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the North Atlantic Ocean.

Day 4
Travel to the South Shore
Golden Circle excursion
Experience all the geological diversity that Iceland has to offer with a visit to the Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that falls on a rift between two tectonic plates. Then make your way to the Great Geysir, watch the Hvítá river disappear into the earth at the Gullfoss Falls, and watch the Strokkur Geyser erupt. End the tour with a tasty stop for gelato tasting at the Efstidalur farm, a recently renovated farm in offering a unique tasting experience.
Day 5
Seljalandsfoss waterfall walk
View the beautiful Seljalandsfoss, located about 18 miles west of Skogar. This tall and misty waterfall is one of Iceland’s most unique, with a path that lets you walk behind the curtain of water, so bring a raincoat or umbrella to stay dry.
Skogar Folk Museum visit
Visit the Skogar Folk Museum and discover striking examples of Iceland's history. It's housed in a series of old sod-roofed farmhouses. There is also a modern building with extensive historical exhibits dealing with life in Southern Iceland.

Day 6
Krysuvik Geothermal Field visit
Discover the Krysuvik Geothermal Field steaming vents, fumaroles, mud pots, clay and solfataras which became more active after an earthquake in the 1920s. You can explore it on a series of boardwalks, there is a fair amount of steam, if the wind is blowing from the west you many get a good drenching, therefore this is subject to the weather.

Blue Lagoon visit
Relax and unwind at the world-famous Blue Lagoon, a bright blue, mineral-rich geothermal spa set in the middle of a vast lava field. Soak in the warm, healing waters as clouds of steam rise around you, revealing moss-covered lava formations and the distant silhouettes of the geothermal power plant. The lagoon’s floor, covered with smooth rocks and slimy, white silica mud, adds to this uniquely Icelandic experience.
