Overview
Are your students ready for a two-day educational adventure? Your group will experience the rich history of the Lone Star State during a visit to the Bullock Texas State History Museum and learn more about state government on a guided tour of the Texas State Capitol. Your students can also look forward to exploring Mount Bonnell, visiting the LBJ Presidential Library, and enjoying a campus tour of the University of Texas at Austin.

Bullock Texas State History Museum visit
Understand the stories of discovery, settlement uprising, war, and the people that built the lone star identity of this state. Gain insights into Texas's evolution from 12,000 year old artifacts to the 1901 oil gushers to its role as a hub for spaceflight.
Texas State Capitol visit
Tour the largest U.S. state capitol, taller than the national one. View the rotunda's flags of the 6 nations who held sovereignty over Texas, the House and Senate chambers where laws are made, and the historic Supreme Court courtroom, the seat of justice until 1959.

Mount Bonnell Park visit
Capture stunning panoramic views at Austin's highest summit, including the Colorado River, downtown Austin, and the surrounding hill country. Take in the massive 775-foot tall outcrop on the shore of Lake Austin and learn about this site's ties to Native American history.
Texas Science and Natural History Museum visit
Spark your curiosity and fire up your imagination through hands-on exhibits on cutting-edge scientific discoveries, Texas' natural and prehistoric history, including a 60-foot-long sauropod track, as well as native wildlife, including cave organisms and over 500,000 insect specimens.
Lunch
LBJ Presidential Library visit
Experience, hear, and view the life and legacy of our 35th president at this extensive museum. Visit a replica of his Oval Office, hear Lady Bird's diary recordings, and view the millions of artifacts that bring to life his "Great Society" initiatives, the Vietnam War, and fight for civil rights.

In one click friends and family members can make a direct donation to the trip - with 100% of the money raised going to offset their trip price. Thousands of students pay for their entire trip each year through the Gift of Education.
