Sightseeing with a local guide introduces Germany's capital, the Brandenburg Gate, and Unter den Linden.

Reichstag Dome visit

Take an elevator up into the stunning Glass Dome to witness dramatic views both internally of the building and externally of Berlin.

Add on: Potsdam

Opt to Visit the Rococo palace of Sans Souci, to see the rich interior, Roman-style baths, and lush gardens of the palace where Frederick the Great was entertained by Voltaire and Bach, and where Churchill and Stalin met for the Potsdam Conference.

Nymphenburg

Travel to Nymphenburg, with its 500 acres lined with trimmed hedges, boasting three pavilions and a miniature palace.

Visit the former concentration camp at Dachau.

Day 7 : Greater Munich
Add on: Neuschwanstein Castle

Enjoy an optional excursion to fairy tale Neuschwanstein Castle, built for mad Bavarian King Ludwig II. A lesson in extravagance, with almost every inch covered in gilt, stucco, woodcarvings, and marble mosaics, the castle served as a model for Walt Disney's theme park. A visit to nearby Linderhof is also included.

Day 8 : Salzburg
A Musical City

Cross into Austria and visit Mozart's hometown of Salzburg, setting for The Sound of Music, with your Tour Director. Austria's hometown of Baroque, Salzburg is picturesquely nested in the mountains by the Salzach River.

Visit Mozart's birthplace

Feel the rhythm of Salzburg’s Old Town Square as you enter the unassuming yellow domicile at Getreidegasse 9. This is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. View an impressive collection of the young composer’s first instruments and immerse yourself in the captivating saga of this prodigy’s early life.

Travel to Vienna

Continue to the Austrian capital, Vienna.

Day 9 : Vienna
Tour the City

Follow in the footsteps of the imperial Habsburgs as a local guide shows you the Hofburg, the Belvedere, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Schonbrunn Palace

As you enter Schonbrunn Palace, imagine Emperor Karl I's abdication in this building, ending 640 years of his family's rule.

Prater Park

This evening, perhaps stroll through the Prater amusement park and ride on the huge ferris wheel.

Day 10 : Return to the United States
Fly Home

Our rewarding and enjoyable tour comes to an end as our Tour Director accompanies us to the airport on our final day.

Up to Three College Credits Included with this Program

Through our Discovery for Credit Program, students traveling on an international WorldStrides program have the opportunity to earn academic credit by completing an online course that allows them to reflect upon many of the themes and topics explored during their travel program. Those in grades 6–12 at the time of travel can earn free elective high school credit upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Through our university partner, George Mason University, eligible students in grades 9-12 at the time of travel can earn up to three college credits upon successful completion of both the travel program and online course. Students who earn credit with WorldStrides will find this distinguishes them as online learners and gives them a jump-start on their path to a successful higher education experience.
