Students will spend the entirety of this tour in the capital city of the province, Québec City, immersed in history, culture, and language that is European in feel, North American by nature, but wholly and uniquely Québecois!

Your adventure, day by day

Day 1 : Embark on your French Language Immersion Tour
Arrival in Québec

Our 24-hour bilingual Tour Director will meet us at the airport and remain with us throughout our French language immersion tour until our final airport departure. We will have use of a private coach and driver while touring for the next four days.

Wendake

Before arriving at our hotel in Québec City, we will stop in Wendake. Wendake is the current name for the Huron-Wendat reserve a short distance north of Québec City. This was formerly known as Village-des-Hurons or "Huron Village". Its inhabitants are the predominantly Catholic descendants of Hurons, displaced from their original homeland near Midland, Ontario through war with the Iroquois in 1650. The exact location of the village has shifted several times before coming to stand at the modern-day site (Jeune-Lorette) in 1697. The mostly non-Huron suburb of L'Ancienne-Lorette stands on the former Wendat site.

Huron Indigenous village

Explore the Huron Traditional Site, an authentic recreation of a Québec Indigenous village, offering a unique opportunity to discover the culture and way of life of Hurons, both past and present.

Québec City

Québec City sits along the Saint Lawrence River in Canada's mostly French-speaking Québec province. Dating to 1608, it has a fortified colonial core, Vieux-Québec and Place Royale, with stone buildings and narrow streets. This area features the towering Château Frontenac Hotel; imposing Citadel of Québec; and the cobblestone streets, bistros, and boutiques of the Petit-Champlain district.
