At Sanibel Islands visitor and education center, learnthe importance of national wildlife refuges, discoverexciting research, and discuss conservation topics likethe Duck Stamp Act.
- Wildlife Refuge Tram Tour:
Ding Darling is known as one of the best places forbirding, so take out your binoculars to get firsthandexperience observing bird adaptations! As you travelby tram through the refuges complex, youre sure tosee some of natures amazing creatures!
- Snorkel Seagrass Beds:
Get up close and personal with seagrass beds duringan afternoon snorkel! Youll learn crucial data-gatheringtechniques, gain a better understanding of thescience behind a wave, and see the effects this naturaloccurrence has on coastal geography.
- Beach Combing:
Set your sights on the beautiful Florida beach in searchof the perfect shell!
- Dinner and Return to Hotel:

- Paddling Adventure:

- American Alligator Search:
Return to the Everglades to explore this unique ecosystemin search of the American Alligator. With the use ofbinoculars, observe this animal in its natural habitat.
- Florida Bay Boat Tour:
Get a glimpse of wildlife in the Everglades as you takein the sights of peregrine falcons flitting about, sharkscruising the bay waters, and dolphins chasing theirprey!
- Local Fruit Stand Stop:
(time permitting)Enjoy a stop at an iconic fruit stand to sample some ofFloridas mouthwatering treats.
- Everglades National Park:
Take an evening hike through the only subtropicalpreserve in North America. Hear the sounds ofthousands of birds, insects, and reptiles that make theEverglades their home.
