How To Send a Gift of Education e-Card

WorldStrides is committed to giving every student the opportunity to travel with us to amazing destinations. We offer several fundraising and financial assistance tools to help students make their trip a reality, including our most successful fundraising tool, the Gift of Education e-cards!

Gift of Education puts students in the driver’s seat of paying for their trip and 100% of the money raised goes directly toward their trip (unlike any other fundraiser out there!). Tens of thousands of travelers use this program every year, and many are even able to pay for their entire trip through this program. Students who used Gift of Education raised over $1.5 million dollars last year alone!

We provide e-cards, letters, and shareable Facebook links students can use to get donations from family and friends. This program is perfect for students to use at the start of the school year, on birthdays, or during the holidays.

So, how do you send a Gift of Education e-card? Let’s walk through it, step by step.

Send an e-Card

First, click the “send an e-card” button on our home page. You can also get to our e-cards by selecting “send an e-card” from the navigation menu.

From there, tell us where you’ll be traveling!

Once you’ve picked where you’re traveling to, a form will pop up. Fill it out with the requested information. Make sure you have your account number – that’s how donations from your family and friends will be attributed! Filling out the form correctly will also fill in correct destinations and names on your e-card when it arrives in inboxes.

Before you click “send,” choose an e-card style. Is it your birthday or a holiday? We’ve got an e-card for that!

Once your e-card is sent, you can click the link to send another – send as many as you want to your family and friends and watch the donations for your upcoming trip roll in!

In addition to sending e-cards, you can also send fundraising letters via snail mail, and share your trip on Facebook. Looking for fundraising ideas? Check out our fundraising ideas list, and visit our scholarships and grants page for additional ideas on funding your WorldStrides program.
