WorldStrides Teacher of the Year: Science - Tracey Rhodes

Our Program Leaders – your teachers – are the heart and soul behind our programs. It’s the teacher students will remember. This year, for Teacher Appreciation Week, we asked students and parents who have participated in recent WorldStrides programs to nominate their program leaders for WorldStrides Teacher of the Year to honor their hard work and dedication. Each day this week, we will announce a WorldStrides Teacher of the Year.

Our WorldStrides Teacher of the Year: Science is Tracey Rhodes. Tracey has been traveling with WorldStrides since 2010, taking her students on our Florida Science Discovery programs. In their own words, read why parents and students nominated Tracey for WorldStrides Teacher of the Year.

“Tracy Rhodes has coordinated the World Strides Marine Biology field trip to Florida for many years now. The trip is such an educational highlight for the kids in our area. Not many schools have teachers this dedicated to showing the wild and wonderful world of science to kids.” – The Weaver Family

“Mrs. Rhodes and Mrs. Svarfvar are outstanding teachers and leaders. Our trip was an amazing combination of education and fun. They both go above and beyond expectations every year. Their attention to detail meant nothing was overlooked, when our flight was canceled they worked all night to get us home. They both have such a passion for science it’s contagious!” – Bailee

Congratulations, Tracey, and thank you for your dedication!
