A non–profit organization founded in the mid 1990s, the Sarahpiquí Conservation Learning Center links tourists to community members through a number of fun and interactive programs. Through environmental education, community development, conservation, and tourism programs, the SCLC helps others understand the importance of conservation.

  • Students work with community members and get a glimpse of what it is like to be a field ecologist. Led by an Environmental Coordinator, the students take a hands-on approach to science as they collect and analyze scientific data related to ecological hypotheses and also analyze the implications for the rainforest.
