Day 1 Departure from North America
  • Flight to Rio de Janeiro Enjoy a wide-bodied flight to Rio de Janeiro.
Day 2 Arrive in Rio de Janeiro
  • Tijuca Forest and Corcovado Upon our arrival we will be met at the airport by our meet and greet guide where we will board our own private coach and transfer to our hotel. Today we will visit the Tijuca Forest and Corcovado. We will have the opportunity to view the Christ the Redeemer Statue and enjoy views of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, downtown Rio, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas.
Day 3 Rio De Janeiro
  • Atlantic Rainforest & Babilonia Community After breakfast, we will begin a day of exploring and learning about the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro and the city's hillside communities. We will take a nature tour through the Atlantic Rainforest and make a visit to the Babilonia Community. Our expert guide today will be a community resident and will tell us about the history of the community and will give an overview of the reforestation work being done in this environmentally protected area.
Day 4 Rio de Janeiro
  • Day of Service Today will be spent doing Service Activity.
Day 5 Rio de Janeiro
  • Sugar Loaf Mountain After breakfast we will attend group dance classes at one of the most prestigious dance studios in Rio de Janeiro. Our class will be comprised of two or three instructors teaching the class famous Brazilian rhythms such as samba, chorinho, and forro. Afterwards, we will continue to a visit of the world famous Sugar Loaf Mountain to witness incredible views and the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer.
Day 6 Rio de Janeiro
  • Day of Service Today will be spent doing Service Activity.
Day 7 Rio De Janeiro – Ouro Preto
  • Church of Saõ Francisco de Assisi Founded at the end of the 17th century, Ouro Preto was the main city during gold rush and Brazil’s golden age in the 18th century. We will visit The Church of Saõ Francisco de Assisi and the Church of Our Lady of the Pillar.
  • Tiradentes Square Later we will take a walking tour of Tiradentes Square and view the old Parliament House, the Museum of the Inconfidência, and the Palace of the Governors, which has become the School of Mines and Metallurgy.
Day 8 Ouro Preto
  • Day of Service Today will be spent doing Service Activity.
Day 9 Departure from Belo
  • Return Flight Home Our rewarding and enjoyable experience will come to an end as our tour manager/guide escorts us tp the airport for the return flight
