This location is a success story of urban renewal and is now considered Brazil's "green capital" and the gold standard of sustainable urban planning. With pedestrianized streets, lots of green spaces and an impressive bus and rail system, together with beautiful spaces such as the Botanic Gardens, Curitiba is a beautiful city to explore.

Day 3 :
Parque Barigui-Largo da Ordem- Rua das Flores

- Parque Barigui:
This morning we will spend time at Parque Barigui, one of the largest and most visited parks in Curitiba. The park offers lots of green areas, with native flora surrounding a large lake of 400 thousand square meters. This region of Curitiba has over 200 species of birds and it is possible to find many of them in the park. The parks amenities include: gym equipment, barbecue pits, restaurants, an automobile museum, a steam train station, and even an amusement park.

- Walking tour:
Enjoy a guided walking tour of the city of Curitiba, focusing around the Largo da Ordem and Rua das Flores in the cobbled historic quarter, with beautifully restored buildings, art galleries and restaurants. The nearby Passeio Publico is a park complex where Curitibanos have relaxed since 1886.
- Dinner:
This evening we will have dinner as a group in a local restaurant.
Day 4 :
Universidade Livre do Meio Ambiente- Shopping at Estacao- Mercado Municipal
- Breakfast:
- Bike tour:
Explore the city by bike with a local guide. We will make stops at the Museu Oscar Niemeyer and the Bacachen Park and Opera House.
- The Panoramic Tower of Curitiba:
The 110 meter telecom tower features a glassenclosed observation deck with sweeping city views.
- The Bosque Alemão:
This park was built in Curitiba in honor of the German immigrants who began to settle in the city in the early 19th century. Visitors can walk on the trail of Hansel and Gretel (after the tale of Brothers Grimm) and reach the gingerbread and candy house.
Memorial Ucraniano is a monument celebrating Ukrainian immigration with a scenic church and painted eggs on display.
- Universidade Livre do Meio Ambiente:
Visit the also called "The Free University of the Environment".
- Visit an educational organization:
Unilivre is an independent cultural and educational organization, founded to educate people on the environment and how to protect it.
- Shopping mall:
Spend some time at Shopping Estação, a local shopping mall in Curitiba.
- Lunch:
Today, we will enjoy lunch at Estação.
- Mercado Municipal:
Spend some time at the Mercado Municipal, a famous indoor public market with various stalls selling local produce and gifts.

This evening we will have dinner as a group in a local restaurant.
Day 5 :
Botanical Garden- Wire Opera- Travel to Brasilia

This morning we will take a city tour of Curitiba visiting the Botanical Garden, Wire Opera, Tangua Park, and a stop at the Museu Oscar Niemayer.
- Transfer to the airport:
We will take an internal flight from Curitiba to Brasilia.
Day 6 :
Visit to Local Farms

- Local farms:
Today we will have the opportunity to visit several local farms. See how farmers are improving their yields in Brazil's warm climate, where double cropping has become very common.
- Lunch:
Food will be supplied by one of the farms for an authentic local experience.
- Dinner:
This evening we will have dinner as a group in a local restaurant.
Day 7 :
Brasilia Landmarks
- Breakfast:
- Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima:
Our first stop will be at the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima, inaugurated in 1958 and designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Walk through the residential area with six floors, buildings built over columns, gardens, and a local commercial area.
- Sanctuary of Dom Bosco:
This is one of the most beautiful catholic churches of Brasilia. Continue on to the Juscelino Kubitschek Museum and Mausoleum built in honor of Brasilia's founder, and the Indian Museum designed by Oscar Niemeyer.
- Urban Military Sector:
Visit where the Army Head Quarters stands, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Our Lady of Aparecida and the Museum of the Republic and Library.
- Dinner:
Today we will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.
- Three Powers Square:
Place of the head offices of the three powers of the Republic, Supreme Court and Palace of Planalto. Next, view The Historical Museum that tells the adventure of building a new capital, and Palace of Dawn, the official presidential residence.

Day 8 :
Television Tower- University of Brasilia - Palace of Alvorada

This morning visit the Television Tower, where we will take an elevator that reaches 75 meters where we will have the best panoramic view of Brasilia, Paranoá Lake and Satellite Cities. Later walk by the local market of hand-crafted works by local artists, followed by the Botanical Garden.

Today we will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.
- University of Brasilia:
The ICC Central Institute of Science is the main building at this university, nicknamed as "Minhocão" (Big Earthworm), with almost one kilometer of extension.
- Palace of Alvorada:
The palace was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and is the office of the president. Visit the Building of the Procuradoria Geral da Repúlica, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and inaugurated in 2002, with six buildings connected by underground crossways.

Day 9 :
Palace of Itamaraty - Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Travel to Salvador

- Palace of Itamaraty and Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
This place is where big receptions for foreign officials are held. View one of the biggest collection of Brazilian modern art, painting, sculpture, tapestry and gifts from foreign countries donated to Brasil. Continue on to the Congress Bulding, Senate and Deputies House, and Oscar Niemeyer's project, with gardens inspired by BurleMarx, and Mariane Perretti's work.

- Travel to Salvador:
We will take an internal flight from Brasilia to Salvador.
- Salvador da Bahia:
The former capital of Brazil and often abbreviated to 'Bahia', is renowned for its African-influenced cuisine, music and architecture. Labelled "the Capital of Joy", because of its exuberant week-long Carnaval celebrations, the city's architecture has gone largely untouched since the 17th century and provides visitors with historic cobbled streets, amazing local cuisine and lively and engaging music.

Salvador Landmarks

- Bahia walking tour:
This morning we will visit the lower city and learn its peculiarities about African influences in Bahia culture. We begin from Barra neighborhood, with the Atlantic Ocean view and Barra's most famous icon, the lighthouse at the Saint Antonio Fort - We will walk around the first lighthouse of the entire American continent.
- Campo Grande Square:
We will continue our guided tour, with stops at Campo Grande Square, where we have some historical references such as the Dois de Julho Monument, The Hotel da Bahia, and the Teatro Castro Alves.
- Bonfim Church:
We will visit Salvador's most important church for intense religion devotion, Bonfim Church, site of a major Afro-Brazilian syncretism event. In a side-room we will see replicas of body parts devotees claim were cured.
- Fort of Mont Serrat:
This is one of the best examples of military primitive architecture in Brazil. It gives a panoramic view of the city. Later we will pass by the Ribeira neighborhood, and we may stop to experience tropical ice-cream.
- Lunch:
We will enjoy lunch in the Municipal Square area.
- Jorge Amado House Foundation:
Visit the Jorge Amado house Foundation and learn about his important work in Brazilian literature.
- Sao Francisco Church:
This is one of Brazil's most magnificent churches, filled with displays of wealth and splendor.
- Bahia Afro Museum:
Enjoy some free time in Old Town.
- Mass:
Walk to the Rosario dos Pretos Church for a traditional mass. This mass is popular for having African culture expressions during the masses.

Day 11 :
Sao Joaquim Market - Steve Biko Foundation - Bahia Afro Ballet

Today, we start by visiting the main open market in Salvador - feira de São Joaquin. There you will get an introduction to the most important components of the Bahia and Afro-Brazilian cuisine, religion, culture, etc. Sao Joaquim Market is an extremely lively maze overflowing with rich culture, vivid colors and a wide array of merchandise. It is the Brazilian scenario rich as a deep dive so close to real life of the everyday reality in Salvador.
- Candomble house:
He's known for his profound knowledge of religious tradition. He will present us the main factors about the Candomle Culture, the Terreiro and Orixás, and the drums beats full of meaning played for the Orixás. This place is a symbol of cultural resistance of the black enslaved descendants in Salvador.

[activity title="Steve Biko Cultural Institute"]This afternoon we will meet with a member of the Steve Biko Cultural Insititute.The Steve Biko Foundation is a community development organization inspired by the legacy of South African, Stephen Biko. Since its inception, the Steve Biko Foundation has sought to strengthen democracy by championing dialogue, scholarship and programmes on the relationship between identity, agency, citizenship and social action. The Institute emerged in 1992 seeking the insertion of blacks in academic space as a strategy for their social ascent and the fight against racial discrimination.

- Bahia Afro Ballet:
Walk to local Theater for the Bahia Afro Ballet . The ballet was established in 1988, and is the only professional ballet company dedicated to Folkloric dance in Brazil, and has a significant curriculum of activities including worldwide performances. This modern dance company with a 'Brazilian strong accent' presents a highly international recognized show during 1 hour at the Miguel Santana Theater in Pelourinho.
Day 12 :
Quables workshop - Rio Vermelho

- Quables Workshop:
Before we depart for home, participate in a Quables workshop. This project seeks to address social inclusion of youth by using music and art to fight drugs and violence.
- Lunch:
We enjoy lunch in a traditional market in the Rio Vermelho neighborhood.
- Free time:
You will have some free time to explore the area.
- Dinner:
On our final night we will enjoy a farewell dinner together.
- Going back home:
Our rewarding and enjoyable tour comes to an end as our Tour Director accompanies us to the airport on our final day.
