Day 1 Depart from North America
  • Take Off Enjoy your overnight flight to Shanghai!
Day 2 Arrive in Shanghai
  • Ni Hao! Journey to China and begin exploring Shanghai.
Day 3 Explore Shanghai
  • Sightseeing Tour Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Shanghai, including the colonial Bund, the French Concession, Jade Buddha Temple, and People’s Square, a spectacular space in the heart of the city.
  • LEAP Chinese Calligraphy
  • Yuyuan Gardens At the Yuyuan Gardens, discover beautiful landscapes, unique architecture, and the surrounding Town God Temple Market.
  • Acrobatics This evening, see a Chinese Acrobatics show.
Day 4 Chongquing
  • Board Your Flight Fly to Chongquing and gear up for a day of adventure.
  • Chongquing Zoo Observe rare wild animals and pandas at the Chongqing Zoo.
  • Goose Neck Park Visit Goose Neck Park, a popular spot with the locals and a relaxing place to enjoy the gardens or catch views of the river.
  • Cruise on the Yangtze After dinner, board a boat for a three-day cruise along the Yangtze River.
Day 5 Fengdu Ghost City
  • Excursion to Fengdu Today’s excursion is to Fengdu County, located on Ming Mountain. Fengdu is a cultural and historic town known throughout China as the “Ghost City” and resting place of the spirit of the dead. It’s home to paintings, sculptures, and unique architecture, representing the beliefs of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taosim.
Day 6 Shennong Stream
  • Qutang and Wu Gorges Deep gorges, steep cliffs, waterfalls, rapids, karst caves, suspended wooden coffins, and an ancient plank road are all part of today’s experience as you travel through the Qutang and Wu Gorges.
  • Shennong Stream Witness the unique scenery of the Shennong Stream this afternoon.
Day 7 Final Cruise Day
  • Three Gorges Dam See the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric power station in the world.
  • Xiling Gorge End your journey with a cruise through the Xiling Gorge.
  • Fly to Beijing After your river journey, hop on a plane to Beijing.
Day 8 Explore Beijing
  • Guided Tour A local guide leads you through the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
  • Hutongs Later today, take a walking tour of the hutongs, (ancient city lanes), learn about the daily lives of Beijing citizens, and have lunch with a local family.
  • LEAP Tai Ji Try your hand at Tai Ji, a Chinese martial art.
  • Add on: Peking Opera Tonight, experience an optional Peking Opera show.
Day 9 Temple of Heaven
  • LEAP Cook Chinese Cuisine Learn about, create, and eat traditional dishes as you cook Chinese cuisine.
  • Temple of Heaven Explore the Temple of Heaven, with its circular altar and buildings representing earth and heaven.
Day 10 Great Wall of China
  • Stroll the Wall Walk along the awe-inspiring Great Wall of China.
  • Ming Tombs This afternoon, visit the majestic Ming Tombs, burial place of thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty.
  • Farewell Dinner Enjoy a Peking Duck farewell dinner tonight.
Day 11 Return Journey to the United States
