Day 1 :
Arrive in Calgary - Banff
- Relax and enjoy our scheduled flight from North America:
Our 24-hour Tour Director will meet us at the airport and remain with us until our final airport departure. We will have use of a private coach and driver, while touring for the next five days.
- We continue on our journey from Calgary International Airport to Banff:
En route we will see the beauty of Banff National Park. Banff National Park was created as a park reserve in 1885 after the discovery of natural hot
springs in the area two years earlier. In 1887 it was formally established as Canada’s first national park (Rocky Mountains Park; renamed Banff National Park in 1930). It is renowned for its dramatic scenery, continuing geologic processes, and diverse wildlife, and is part of the UNESCO Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site. As we drive to the town of Banff, enjoy the spectacular views and heights of the Canadan Rockies that seem to appear out of nowhere as we travel from the Calgary International Airport. We will continue to Banff (area), our base for the next two nights. Breakfast will be included at the hotel. Banff is a resort town and one of Canada's most popular tourist destinations. From quiet meadows to thundering waterfalls, towering peaks to misty canyons, Banff offers a unique assortment of sightseeing and leisure activities.

We will dine this evening in a local restaurant.
Day 2 :
Explore Banff National Park / Performances
- Lake Louise:
is a mountain destination set in the heart of Banff National Park, on the Bow River, located directly to the north east of the beautiful lake from which it takes its name. The settlement was originally called Holt City, having been established as a railway construction camp in 1884; it was later known as Laggan, but was renamed Lake Louise in 1914.
- Impromptu Performance:
Choirs will have an opportunity for an impromptu performance, we will then return to the town of Banff for some free time to grab some lunch (lunch is not included).
- Gondola Ride:
Take a Gondola Ride to the top of Sulfur Mountain, and enjoy the magnificent views over Banff National Park and six mountain ranges.
- Banff Springs Hotel:
Visit the Banff Springs Hotel. Set in a castle-like building in Banff National Park, this grand hotel lies within 1.8 km of Bow Falls, and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies.
- Evening Activities:
We will dine in a local restaurant and enjoy an open Workshop with a guest clinician at the Banff Centre to help us further our master our musical skills. Afterwards, we will have a short performance.
Day 3 :
From Banff to Calgary
- The City of Calgary:
Located on the banks of the Bow River, at its confluence with the Elbow River and close to the Canadian Rockies. It was established in 1875 as the North West Mounted Police post of Fort Brisebois and was renamed the following year as Fort Calgary, taking its name from a location on Scotland’s Isle of Mull.
- Concert Performance:
Your concert performance is today at Knox United Church (or similar).
- Lunch at the CORE:
We will then grab some lunch at the CORE. The CORE is the hub of downtown Calgary's skywalk system and is the busiest shopping centre in the City with about 160 retailers (lunch not included).
- Evening Activities:
Dinner will be provided in a local restaurant. We will have a chance to meet and rehearse with the both the local and international choirs performing in tomorrow's Gala Performance at Mount Royal University Conservatory.
Day 4 :
Sightseeing / Gala Performance
- Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology:
Visit the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology, one of Canada's most popular attraction and is a centre of palaeontological research. It is known for its collection of more than 130,000 fossils.
- Lunch and Free Time:
Take some time to grab some lunch at Cross Iron Mills (lunch not included). We will then have some free time back at the hotel to relax and freshen-up for tonight's Gala Performance.
- Rehersal and Gala Performance:
Enjoy a quick rehearsal for today's performance. This evening, dinner will be brought to the performance venue. Participate in the International Choir Gala Performance at the Bella Concert Hall.
Day 5 :
- Tour Comes to an End:
Our rewarding and enjoyable tour comes to an end as our Tour Director accompanies us to the airport on our final day.
