Argentina Field Hockey Tour

Compete internationally on our Argentina Field Hockey Tour. Arrive in Buenos Aires and begin with some sightseeing of locations such as Plaza de Mayo, Avenida de Mayo, and the Buenos Aires Obelisk. Play your first international match against an Argentinian side, ,then tour Campo Argentina de Polo. Visit a Milonga and take part in a volunteer project. Take a horseback ride through the Argentina countryside before your fourth and final match.

Day 1 Depart from North America
  • Depart on an overnight flight to Buenos Aires International Airport Sit back, relax, and enjoy your overnight flight
Day 2 Welcome to Argentina!
  • Your Adventure Begins Arrive at Buenos Aires Airport where you are met by your Excel Representative
  • Transfer by deluxe coach to your hotel Check into your 3* Buenos Aires hotel where you will be staying for the following seven nights

Day 3 Get to Know Buenos Aires

  • Walking tour of Buenos Aires Sights to see include Plaza de Mayo, Avenida de Mayo, the Buenos Aires Obelisk, Plaza Congreso, The Buenos Aires Cathedral and much more!
  • Afternoon free for sightseeing

  • Game Time This evening, play your first international friendly game vs. an Argentinean team
Day 4 Sightseeing Before Friendly Match
  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Campo Argentina de Polo Today, tour Campo Argentina de Polo, which is a multi-purpose stadium used for polo, pato, and field hockey matches. The stadium also hosted matches for the 1978 World Hockey Cup!
  • Afternoon free for sightseeing on own
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Game Time This evening, play your second international friendly match
Day 5 Visit to a Milonga
  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Morning practice session
  • Spend the afternoon in a Milonga A milonga is both a place where a Tango dance will take place, as well as a specific type of tango dance. Milongas take place either during the day or late at night. Inside a milonga, you will find many locals who will be more than willing to show you how to dance
  • Dinner at hotel
Day 6 Community Service Project
  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Community Service This morning, participate in a community service project. Past projects have included cleaning up a local park, helping at a retirement community, and fundraising for a local charity
  • Sightseeing Afternoon free for sightseeing and lunch in Buenos Aires
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Game Time This evening, play your third international friendly game vs. an Argentinean side!
Day 7 Last International Friendly Game
  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Morning practice session
  • Enjoy a typical Argentinean past time Hop on horseback and enjoy a trail ride through the countryside right outside the city. Or enjoy tasting the wide variety of vines that the area has to offer
  • Dinner at hotel
  • Game Time This evening, play your fourth international friendly game vs. an Argentinean side
Day 8 Last day In Buenos Aires
  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Enjoy your last day! Free day for last minute sightseeing and shopping in Buenos Aires. Perhaps visit the La Boca district. La Boca has the Caminito pedestrian street with arts and crafts. There is also a river cruise you can take from there where you can see a huge picturesque metal structure across the river. La Boca is famous for Tango and you can often catch glimpses of Tango dancers practicing in the streets

  • Evening free to enjoy your last night in Argentina
Day 9 Depart for North America
  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Depart Buenos Aires Airport for your return flight home
