Paris: Safety and Security

Like everyone, we were appalled by the events that took place in Paris this past weekend.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the people of France.

First and foremost, the safety and security of our travelers is our highest priority.  On all travel programs, WorldStrides has emergency contingency plans in place to ensure the highest level of safety for travelers in every scenario.

  • WorldStrides has an extensive network on the ground in travel destinations around the world to monitor threatening situations and assist in the event that safety issues arise.
  • Our 24/7 team of dedicated risk management professionals is actively assessing all travel destinations and situations.
  • WorldStrides partners with iJet, a leading worldwide crisis management organization, for additional assistance in evaluating global conditions.
  • Our Course Leaders and Tour Directors have experience living and working in the cities our students visit and are available at all times to support their groups.  We are in regular contact with all of our staff on the ground to provide up to date information on local conditions.

We will continue to utilize this extensive network to monitor the situation and provide further updates as needed.

We are parents and educators first and foremost.  We will never compromise the safety and security of any WorldStrides traveler. And, we will do everything possible to ensure that travel opportunities remain available for the education of students worldwide.
