General Manager, Custom Programs, and Executive Innovation Officer, Higher Ed
Since 2011, Michael has managed more than 3,700 faculty-led custom programs with nearly 90,000 traveling students, faculty, and administrators. He oversees all aspects of business for the WorldStrides university and post-graduate group travel program and leads innovation efforts in study abroad in collaboration with business leaders across WorldStrides’ higher education programs. During his tenure at WorldStrides, Michael has led process improvement efforts in business analysis, organizational design, new program development, student communication and more.
Prior to joining WorldStrides, Michael worked at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche in assurance advisory services as a licensed certified public accountant, and in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at Wachovia Bank. This broad-based corporate experience, leadership within WorldStrides’ middle and high school divisions, and his travels throughout Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas informs his commitment to ensuring all travelers experience truly world-class international immersion programs. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Marketing from The Ohio State University and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
