WorldStrides expanded its global footprint into South America in September 2014 with an operation headquartered in Santiago. Wes Young, Director of South America Operations, will lead the new office.
The new presence in South America means WorldStrides is now located in 22 locations on five continents, with office locations in China, Australia, the UK, Canada, Chile, and throughout the U.S. This global footprint ensures the company is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of traveling students all over the world.
WorldStrides has worked with universities to develop educational travel programs in South America for more than 20 years. As this vital region’s influence on the global economy has grown, it has become an increasingly important destination for graduate and professional travel. Chile and Brazil have become top destinations for many universities looking to explore growing South American economies. Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador are also trending as popular destinations for university groups.
The South America operation will allow WorldStrides Capstone programs to focus on relationships in this very important region. We look forward to building our local presence in the area.Back to Press Releases
