The University Division of WorldStrides, Accent Travel Group and TravelMBA, is pleased to announce its recent accreditation through AdvancED, the world’s largest education community. This milestone marks the first accreditation of an organization focused on university-level international immersion experiences. With this accreditation, WorldStrides joins a support network of 27,000 organizations accredited through AdvancED, including schools and districts within the United States and across 65 countries.
Accreditation validates the quality, stability, and educational value of the travel programs provided by the University Division of WorldStrides. Following a thorough review of all aspects of WorldStrides’ educational offerings, financial strategies, and business plans, a committee of AdvancED representatives recommended the University Division of WorldStrides for accreditation to the AdvancED Accreditation Commission during its meeting in June 2010.
According to AdvancED, “Schools report that the greatest benefits of accreditation are the external mark of quality, high standards, and school improvement process and support.” In addition to verifying the current strength of an organization, accreditation provides a framework for self-evaluation, contributing to a continual strengthening process and an improved customer experience.
Said Alice Ganier Rolli, General Manager of the University Division of WorldStrides, “We have always been committed to providing unparalleled international immersion experiences. We are pleased to raise the bar once again through our accreditation, and look forward to the benefits that our new accreditation will provide to our organization and our clients.”
