CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia – WorldStrides, the largest educational travel and study abroad company in the United States and the leading experiential education provider, is proud to welcome The Education Abroad Network (TEAN) as a part of the WorldStrides family. This new addition to the organization is part of our growing focus on higher education, enhancing our study abroad programs serving university students from all over the globe.
The Education Abroad Network (TEAN) has earned a reputation as experts in the Asia Pacific region. More than 1,400 college students take advantage of TEAN’s study abroad experiences each year in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, South Korea, China, and more. TEAN’s talented team members have distinguished themselves as authorities in this region, and they will be part of a broader effort to deepen WorldStrides’ expertise in the Asia Pacific region.
With the addition of TEAN, WorldStrides will continue to sharpen our programming for colleges and universities. TEAN will expand our opportunities for students in higher education, alongside International Studies Abroad (ISA) as well as WorldStrides ISA Custom Programs. Each organization has specialties that are key to our mission of igniting personal growth through educational travel and study abroad, and each team has great personal relationships with leaders at universities. We will continue to support separate and distinct study abroad programs under each organization’s leadership, and our teams will benefit from collaboration.
“Our programs for students will be both better and broader with TEAN in our family,” noted WorldStrides CEO Jim Hall. “In the world of study abroad, TEAN and ISA can offer a range of options in the region so that students can choose the type of program that’s right for them – and all of them are supported by the extraordinary student care that is a common thread between our organizations.”
“We are excited to be backed by significant resources of the WorldStrides organization,” Chris Shepherd, co-founder & Managing Director of TEAN, said. “I see us as a strong organization becoming stronger by joining this family – well-placed to meet the evolving needs of students and program partners.”
Each year, the study abroad landscape is changing and more American students look to the Asia Pacific region for study abroad. WorldStrides is delighted to help thousands of young adults experience these amazing and emerging locations that are so important to our global future.
