Groups engage in several educational activities to help illustrate the physical systems of various marine animals at the Island Dolphin Care Center. Students will participate in a squid dissection, and will use the web cam and touch tank to further study local sea life.

Did you know?

  • A group of dolphins is called a “pod” or a “school.”
  • These carnivores will mainly feast on fish and squid.
  • Like bats and whales, dolphins use echolocation to identify objects in their environment by sending ultrasonic sounds and listening to the various echoes that return.
